how to connect your tv and satellite resever

how to connect tv
This regular tv diagram for Conventional analog, non-HD television technology is still capable of very satisfying performance, but to get the most out of it, you have to choose the best connections from your video gear to your TV and AV receiver.
• HDMI and Component Video connections remain the best for standard television formats and allow easier upgrade to HDTV capabilities later. Depending upon your TV and video components, using these connections can deliver a very clear, sharp picture.
• If your TV doesn't offer HDMI or Component Video jacks, the next best connection is S-Video. S-Video separates the brightness and color portions of the video signal for higher-resolution picture.
• If your setup doesn't offer Component Video or S-video, the standard connection is called Composite Video. While this doesn't offer the quality of the other connections, sometimes this may be the only choice available on some components.
• TV isn't just picture, it's sound too. For surround sound, HDMI, Fiber Optic or Digital Coax connections to an AV receiver are required. For basic stereo sound, stereo audio cables can deliver audio signals from your cable box, DVD player or VCR to your TV.
